We must, however, remember that if it [the church] has no Gospel for the Jews, it has no Gospel for the world. -- Jacob Jocz

The Movie

The Movie ... You know the one

I have been asked two questions lately – “Have I seen The Passion of the Christ?” and “Did I consider it anti-Semitic?”

Yes – twice.  And it was anything but anti-Semitic.  Mel Gibson did a simply amazing job of reminding the audience that Jesus is Jewish.

But what is of most importance is that this movie has created opportunities for not just  “interfaith dialogue,” but for real witnessing encounters with Jewish people.

Standing in the movie line, I met a women burdened for her Jewish daughter-in-law.  Her granddaughter, Hillary*, also emailed me to ask how she could witness to her step-mother.  Please pray for both of them!

I also responded to a letter to the editor in The Dallas Morning News from Mary* who is concerned she now be a target of anti-Semitism.  Please pray that my words will reach Mary’s heart and that she will be bold enough to respond to my request that we meet to discuss Jesus.
Happy reading!  And I would love to hear from you!
